Programs

The Antietam Institute offers a variety of informative, thought-provoking, and enjoyable events. Attendance is kept low to encourage close interaction between participants, speakers, and excursion leaders.

The Institute offers two major programs annually for Members:

The three-day Fall Conference includes speakers and battlefield excursions on interesting topics relating to the campaign.

The one-day Spring Symposium involves a series of timely talks and interactions on the campaign.

In addition, the Institute will host other, smaller events during the year.

The theme of 2023’s conference was “Prelude to Antietam: Forcing the South Mountain Gaps” and features a number of unique lectures and battlefield excursions.
