A core activity of the Institute is producing materials that will improve understanding of the Maryland Campaign.
To that end, the Antietam Institute has established a publishing arm to expand the written word about the Battle of Antietam and the 1862 Maryland Campaign more generally. Our published works include the biannual Antietam Journal and individual books, including Brigades of Antietam, The Artillery of Antietam, and From Frederick to Sharpsburg
The Antietam Journal
The Antietam Institute publishes the biannual The Antietam Journal: Perspectives on the 1862 Maryland Campaign, featuring the latest scholarly research, interpretation, and stories of the Maryland Campaign.
The Journal is provided to all current members as a benefit of membership.
